Animal Control

The City of Franklin Police Department’s Animal Control Division is responsible for enforcing animal control ordinances within the city. Animal control officers also oversee the adoption of animals that have found their way into the city’s animal shelter. These officers investigate complaints of animal cruelty, nuisance animals, rabies exposures, animal bites, and wildlife complaints.

The mission of the City of Franklin Animal Control Division is to protect and serve the residents of the City of Franklin as well as their companion animals.

Animal Control’s Areas of Responsibility:

Enforce state and local laws.

Investigate complaints from citizens

Respond to animals running at large

Assist injured animals

Franklin Animal Control also traps stray and feral animals.
