Shots Fired / Attempted Murder
On 05 April 2021, at approximately 8:56 p.m., Franklin police officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 700 block of Oak Street. While responding to the call, officers observed an individual matching the description provided by callers. Contact was made with To’Quawn Newsome, a 22-year-old resident of the City of Franklin. Investigation resulted in Mr. Newsome being arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Willfully Discharging a Firearm in a Public Place.
Additionally, warrants have been obtained for Quatavious Sharpe, a 19-year-old resident of the City of Franklin. Mr. Sharpe is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 190 pounds. Mr. Sharpe is wanted for Attempted Homicide and Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle.
