PRESS RELEASE: Grand Theft Auto, Hit and Run Suspect Wanted

On May 10, 2020 at 9:52 pm, our communications center received a call of an accident involving a truck hit that had struck a building in the 1800 Block of South Street. Units arrived on scene and located an unoccupied, green, Ford F-150, that had struck the building.  

The communications center received a second call indicating the caller heard several shots fired either from or at the pickup and then it struck the building.  After hitting the building, a black male occupant was seen running from the vehicle. Investigation revealed vehicle had been stolen earlier that day. 

Warrants have been obtained charging Tyrell Brown 40, of Franklin for Grand Theft Auto, Felony Hit & Run, Possession of Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
